why forwards

A reaction is politeness. A forward is a reader's own name.

A forward is the one metric where the reader spends their own reputation: they take your text and carry it into their own chat.

Chart and text — ready to publish

A published breakdown from 12 September. Chart from the portal, text written for the channel's feed.

Price says one thing. The money says another. BTC: price −3.2%, flow +$104M. ETH: price +1.7%, flow −$90.1M.
Price says one thing. The money says another.7-day window · price against net flow

This week Bitcoin fell 3.2% while capital inflows into it increased. Ether rose 1.7% and recorded outflows. You don't need to guess direction: between the two leading assets, capital favours Bitcoin — the dips are being bought. Separately, $4.96 billion of stablecoins flowed onto exchanges, the highest daily volume in a month. That is purchasing power that has not been deployed yet.

four more from the same week

Every post is one checkable idea

Three trades, zero sells

A normal day on a major coin runs dozens of trades and millions in volume net out to pocket change. Bitcoin that day had three trades, all one way: exchange → wallet, one receiver, $11.7M bought, nothing sold.

Smart money: from Ethereum to Bitcoin

Over the week smart money bought $52M of Bitcoin and sold $60.3M of Ethereum. Not a flight from risk — a decision about one coin: LTC, DASH, DOGE and SOL were bought. Average ETH entry $1,923 — part of the profit was sold, not the position.

What exchanges are doing: three months, no trend

$720B left exchanges, $696B came in — a $24B gap on $1.4T of flow. On the surface the market is frozen. Venue by venue it isn't: Bitfinex +$9B, OKX +$6.61B, Binance and Coinbase Prime net negative. Rotation between venues, not silence.

How many wallets is "smart money"?

"Smart money is selling ETH": −$44.8M, 206 transactions. Sounds like the market. It was six wallets — about 34 moves each. Not a crowd running for the exit but a few hands leaving in slices, and the same six can turn around tomorrow.

method

Four questions for every number

If one of them has no answer, it is noise — and it does not go into a post.

How much

Net flow in money: bought minus sold. In dollars, not coins — otherwise assets can't be compared.

How many of them

How many wallets sit behind the move. $50M from one address and from two hundred are different events.

Where to

Direction and receiving address. This is also where an exchange's internal transfers get filtered out.

Is that a lot

Multiple of the 30-day norm. "$272M" is an abstraction. "3.5× the usual" is a fact.

columns for your channel

Check your feed: is there a single column built on your own data?

Most channels have none — they discuss other people's news and tools. And the ones who get quoted are the ones with a number nobody else has. The raw material for those numbers is collected on my side every day, so any column below can launch without a warm-up — from week one.

#WhereTheMoneyWent

weekly · monday morning

How much BTC, ETH and stablecoin moved onto and off exchanges, what the best-PnL wallets did, one conclusion for the week and one picture.

The analogue is Glassnode's Week On-Chain. What comes out on a schedule gets quoted.

#WhaleOfTheDay

daily · short

One transfer, but with a biography: whose wallet, where the money came from, what it did last time and how that ended.

Whale Alert gives you a line — "2,000 BTC transferred". You give the story. This format travels by forwards.

#VerifiedOnChain

weekly

Take the loudest news or rumour — "the fund is dumping", "the exchange has a hole", "a government is selling" — and check it against the blockchain: confirmed, not confirmed, not enough data.

People cite whoever checked, not whoever retold.

#WhoKnewFirst

event-driven

After a sharp move, a listing or a hack: which addresses entered a day or two before the news, and how much they made. Addresses and amounts only, no accusations against people.

Lookonchain grew on this genre.

#YourChannelIndex

one number · every morning

Buy-versus-sell pressure from −100 to +100, built from exchange flows, stablecoins and strong wallets. Named after your channel.

A named index is free advertising: "according to the such-and-such index…". That is exactly why Fear & Greed gets quoted.

#Scoreboard

monthly

Publicly reconcile every call the columns made with what price did afterwards: where we hit, where we missed.

Almost nobody does this. And trust is what everything else in the channel gets sold on.

Working titles. Hashtags adapt to your channel's style; the mechanics stay.
